Atfal Masr Digital Initiative, which aimed at teaching programming and artificial intelligence to children in Egypt, concluded its first phase with a grand ceremony to honor the students of the community schools affiliated with the “Man Ahyaha” Association in Al-Ayat - Giza Governorate, which was held at the headquarters of the Egyptian Gulf Bank “EG BANK”. Under the sponsorship of “EGBank”, the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the Ministry of Culture, and the Ministry of Education and organized by Atfal Masr Foundation, the founder of the initiative, Apex Coding Academy as an educational partner and YDI Foundation as a strategic partner, the initiative has successfully equipped hundreds of students across the governorate with theoretical and practical content on digital technology and programming. It was for students aged 8 to 18, over 3 consecutive months, and divided into 3 different programs according to the age group for each stage.

The ceremony was attended by Ms. Nelly Mahmoud, Head of Marketing Communications, Youth Services and Financial Inclusion Sector at EG Bank, Ms. Khadija Samir, Marketing Relations Officer at EG Bank, Ms. Maggie Amin, Marketing Relations Specialist at EG Bank, Mr. Ahmed Abu El-Fath, Operations and Development Manager at Men Ahyaha Association, Mr. Abdel Rahim Farhat, Executive Director of the Children of Egypt Foundation, and Eng. Nehad El-Adly, Executive Director of Apex Academy. Students and community school officials were also present to celebrate the achievements of the participating children, and the young programmers shared their journey and experience in the initiative and the skills they acquired during the training period.

During the ceremony, Ms. Nelly Mahmoud, Head of Marketing Communications, Youth Services and Financial Inclusion Sector at EG Bank, gave a speech in which she talked about EG Bank’s role as an official sponsor of the initiative. She also discussed with the students their experience in the initiative and what they learned during the training period. Mr. Abdel Rahim Farhat "Executive Director of Atfal Masr Foundation" also gave a speech in which he talked about the long-term objectives of the initiative and its role in empowering children and providing them with the necessary skills to keep pace with technological developments. Then Eng. Nihad Al-Adly "Executive Director of Apex Coding Academy" gave a speech in which she talked about the academy's role in the initiative through the preparation of educational curricula and the process of the initiative’s progress during its first phase. After that, all students were recognized for their exceptional achievements and contributions during the initiative.

As the program comes to a close, the initiative’s officials expressed their gratitude to EG BANK for its continued support of the "Atfal Masr Digital Initiative" and their commitment to continuing their efforts in empowering young Egyptians with the skills they need to thrive in the digital age. Plans are already underway for future phases of the initiative, reaching an even wider audience of children across the country.
