Atfal Masr Digital Initiative, which aimed at teaching programming and artificial intelligence to children in Egypt, concluded its first phase with a grand ceremony today at Assiut Governorate. Under the sponsorship of “EGBank”, the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the Ministry of Culture, and the Ministry of Education and organized by Atfal Masr Foundation, the founder of the initiative, Apex Coding Academy as an educational partner and YDI Foundation as a strategic partner, the initiative has successfully equipped hundreds of students across the governorate with theoretical and practical content on digital technology and programming. It was for students aged 8 to 18, over 3 consecutive months, and divided into 3 different programs according to the age group for each stage.

The closing ceremony brought together students, parents, educators, and industry leaders to celebrate the accomplishments of the young participants. Throughout the ceremony, the young programmers spoke about their experience, demonstrating the skills they had acquired during the training program.

The ceremony, which was hosted by Al Rahma Al Mahdah Charitable and Humanitarian Charity Association and Ataa Bella Hudoud Association for Community Development, in the presence of the Atfal Masr Foundation presenters, and Apex Coding Academy, the educational partner of the initiative, featured a variety of activities, including a speech of Mr. Fathy Sayed Khalifa "Executive Director of Al Rahma Al Mahdah Association" and a speech of Ms. Iman Qassim "Projects Manager at Ataa Bella Hudoud Association". They thanked the initiative’s officials and spoke about their foundation’s experience and its role in the initiative during the last three months.

Mr. Abdel Rahim Farhat "Executive Director of Atfal Masr Foundation" also gave a speech in which he talked about the long-term objectives of the initiative and its role in empowering children and providing them with the necessary skills to keep pace with technological developments. Then Eng. Nihad Al-Adly "Executive Director of Apex Coding Academy" gave a speech in which she talked about the academy's role in the initiative through the preparation of educational curricula and the process of the initiative’s progress during its first phase. After that, all students were recognized for their exceptional achievements and contributions during the initiative.

As the program comes to a close, the organizers expressed their commitment to continuing their efforts in empowering young Egyptians with the skills they need to thrive in the digital age. Plans are already underway for future phases of the initiative, reaching an even wider audience of children across the country.
